2. General
Personal data is only processed to the extent technically necessary. Unless otherwise stated, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional website). Data is transmitted via SSL/TLS encryption.
3. Server Log Files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores: IP address of the requesting device, date and time of the request, accessed and referring URL, browser and operating system, and amount of data transferred. This data is used exclusively to ensure smooth operation and is not merged with other data sources. Log files are deleted after [number] days.
4. Hosting
Strato AG
Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7
10249 Berlin.
Processing takes place under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Language preference — A cookie stores the selected language (e.g. “de” or “en”).
Dark mode preference — When you activate dark mode, your preference is stored in your browser’s localStorage. No data is transmitted to the server.
Project view marker — Your localStorage records which projects you have already visited to prevent duplicate counting (see Section 6).
6. Project View Counter
When a project page is accessed, a counter is incremented. A cryptographic hash of your IP address (not reversible) is processed to limit counting to once per hour. The IP address itself is not stored. Only the total view count per project is retained.
7. Search Function
Search terms are transmitted to the server via AJAX and processed to generate results in real time. Search terms are not stored.
8. Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, your data (email address, name, message content) will be stored to process your inquiry and deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(b) for pre-contractual inquiries.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Complaints may be directed to the supervisory authority: Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Friedrichstraße 219, 10969 Berlin, Germany, Phone: +49 30 13889-0, mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de
